MA Fine Art | Class of 2020
“The Grey Fox” series is an extension of my current series “The Blue Fox”. While carrying subtle symbolism and reference to myself, the series has developed beyond answering questions of why I’m an artist directly. They ask questions such as, how important is a line? To which extent do they effect the finished image? How do I transfer and represent myself on paper and why? How can scale, orientation, saturation and composition change the meaning and atmosphere of a piece while containing the same core elements and subject matter? I want people to feel lost, confused and to have their eyes dragged into the piece. I want people to feel disorientated in the intricacies and dimension of the drawings, constantly discovering new aspects of the work.
