Kevin Rudkin

MA Fine Art | Class of 2020

The inspiration for my work comes from the architectural spaces and places in the north-east of England. Exploring the shapes, patterns and form of a space is something I find quite appealing. Using my own photographs of architectural spaces, I recreate them into abstract prints using bright, vibrant colours and stencils to create abstract representations of patterns. I find it interesting when my prints give a sense of mystery to my audience as it makes them think about what I am trying to reinterpret. The inspiration for these works are places and patterns/shapes that I have been seeing while living in lockdown.
