BA (Hons) Fine Art | Class of 2020

As an artist I aim to portray individuals as they are, without an enforced message. I aim to do this in realistic format using graphite whilst also allowing for artistic expression within the work. The subject I wish to focus my work around is the influences of modern life, politics and social media on the individual. The aim being to separate the media storm from a person, examine who they are and what they represent. The modern world has made this increasingly difficult to separate these issues as, at a click of a button, all the information you need is at your fingertips. Unfortunately this has lead to divisions and an overall decline in the mental health of the modern world, constantly being at odds with your peers. My work displays individuals who have been subject to attack and scrutiny, the fact is, that they too are only human.
