Teenagers Save The Day: Midway Moon Graphic Novel

All my life I have consumed stories of heroic teen quests to prevent world domination however it wasn’t until I got older that I realised something profound. Where were all the adults? Why was it always just children who had all this power?

So, paired with my growing interest in graphic novels, I decided to explore this concept. Teens and children being the chosen ones. The heroes. I continued to read and watch stories of both fiction and non-fiction, (such as Super 8 / Paper Girls to Greta Thunberg’s real life ‘mission’) to better my understanding and then along with comic composition research, I began to create my story.

My exhibition presents the introductory pages of a sci-fi/ dystopian story I hope to continue well into the future. My aim is to inspire teens to know that they are strong and they can all be heroes in their own way.
