BA (Hons) Photography, Video and Digital Imaging | Class of 2020

As an avid ornithologist I have a strong connection with landscape and the natural world.  For the past few years my work has focussed upon the wildlife, birds and insects that live in increasingly fragile habitats. I feel at home in the natural environment and my photographs very much reflect this.

My approach utilises photography, text and the web to explore themes and issues relating to my hobby and the larger environmental concerns.  Recent projects have explored the different bird watching communities, including the ‘new breed of birders’ who seem to value high-end equipment over knowledge and patience – the revered virtues of more traditional ‘twitchers’, as well as collaborating with staff and volunteers at nature reserves to showcase their efforts to preserve these precious environments.
